Rose Poliner Manowitz, 100, of West Hartford, wife of the late Harry Poliner and the late William Manowitz, died Jan. 2, 2010 at the Hebrew Home and Hospital. Born in Hartford on March 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Annie (Frankold) Bratslavsky. Rose moved to Middletown as a young girl, graduated from Middletown High School and Culver Smith Normal School. She was a member of Congregation Adath Israel, Middletown, CT and a life member of Hadassah. Before moving to Chatfield in 1997, she had lived in Falmouth, MA. Rose was an owner and administrator of Franida Nursing Home in Boston, MA. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Poliner of Bloomfield; grandson Howard Poliner and his wife Nili of Jerusalem, Israel; granddaughter, Debra Poliner of Brighton, MA; two great grandchildren, Ilai and Yahli Poliner; sister, Gertrude Mann of New York, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose was also predeceased by her two sons, Bernard and George Poliner; brother, Earl Mann; and sister, Ethel Rogow.
