Rose Marie “Mickey” Georgio, age 93 of Norwalk, wife of the late Anthony Georgio, died on Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. Born in New Rochelle, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Carino, she worked for over 25 years in the Men’s Dept. at Bloomingdales. An avid dancer and golfer, she also enjoyed cooking and was an excellent meatball maker.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Alice Giandurco and her husband Joseph, 3 grandchildren; Joseph Giandurco and his wife Shannon, Missy Giandurco, Joseph Yannuzzo, and his son Antonio, as well as her sister Kate Arduvino of Florida. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Georgio Yannuzzo, brothers; Charles, Joseph, Phillip, Ross and Frank, and sisters: Mary, Camille and Julia.
