Rose Lontz, age 90, a lifelong resident of Burlington, NJ, passed away on Thursday, Oct 12, 2018 at the Masonic Home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Italia (Angelini) Manzi. Upon the death of her mom, Rose left school at the age of 16 and ran her family’s neighborhood store on Bordentown Road until 1965. She went on to work for the Food Service Department in several Burlington City schools. Rose held office in the Neptune Hose Company #5 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with her many girlfriends. Above all, family came first to Rose.
Her favorite times were spent cooking her fabulous Italian meals and sharing them with her love ones. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Lontz, her step-sisters, Assunda Massimi, Lesandrina Morlack, Mary Onori and her daughter-in-law Jeanne (Rush) Lontz. Surviving are her two sons, Alan (Barbara) and Bruce, five grandchildren, Carli (Adam), Jason (Alecia), Jamie, Justin (Jillian) and Timothy and five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gavin, Alora, Emmett and Conor.
