Rose Lee Watson, 84, of Flemingsburg, Ky., passed away at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home on Monday, May 18, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer.

Rose was born August 15, 1930 in Fleming County, the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Ellen Florence.

Rose is survived by her loving son, Larry and special daughter-in-law, Brenda, of Flemingsburg; grandsons, Brian Watson, of Manchester, Ohio, and Dustin Watson, of Denver, Colorado; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Rose worked at Boise Cascade in West Virginia prior to moving back home, where she and her late sister, Marie Jordan, enjoyed time spent together doing whatever they enjoyed, like car rides to Shawnee State Park or stopping at yard sales throughout the county. Rose was very soft spoken and never complained about life.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Watson; brother, Eugene “Buster” Florence; and sister, Hazel “Marie” Jordan.

Would like to say a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
