Rose E. Kaminski, Age 87 of new Buffalo, Michigan died October 13, 2014 at the home she had lived in most of her life. Rose was born August 2, 1927 to Benjamin and Rose (Mertyl) Knytych in Chicago, Illinois. On October 12, 1946, she married Mack Kaminski in New Buffalo. Rose was a kind and caring wife to her husband and they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her sister; Ruth Sarabyn, and the love of her life, Mack Kaminski.Rose was a loving mother to her children; Allen (Joanne) Kaminski of New Buffalo, Kevin (Maureen-Clarke)Kaminski of Hamilton, MA., Kathryn (Dan) Vanderplough of Weeki Wachee, FL., and Susan (Dan) McGuire of New Buffalo. She took great pride in her grandchildren; Lacey Kaminski, Benjamin Kaminski, Brian Sims, Alexandria Vanderplough, Holly (Vanderplough) Firanek, Jeff Vanderplough, Leanne Arthur, Elizabeth (McGuire) Buchanan, Nathan McGuire, and Sean McGuire.

She was the great grandmother to many loving children. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Harry Sarabyn of Dowagiac, MI. and leaves many dear friends that she made over the course of her long and rich life.Throughout her life, Rose worked at several local businesses. First for her parents at Gateway Dairy in New Buffalo. Later, she waitressed at Calvin’s Grill and Theo’s Lanes.

She also worked for several years at Plastic Masters Inc.Rose enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling, bingo (not to mention other games of chance), as well as spending time with family and friends. Rose was also a member of the Edward C. Sexton American Legion Post 169 Ladies Auxiliary of New Buffalo.
