Mrs. Rose I. Rapetski, age 77, of Woodbridge, formerly of Orange, beloved wife of the late Walter A. Rapetski Sr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born March 16, 1932, in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine Vastola Iaccarino.
Rose graduated from Southern Connecticut State Teaching College; she went on to teach for two years at the Webster School in New Haven.
Survivors include her four children Dr. Catherine Holway and her husband Robert of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla; Alex Rapetski II and his wife Kathleen Jones of Rumson, NJ; Ralph J. Rapetski, Esq. of Cleveland, OH; and Walter A. Rapetski Jr. and his wife Deborah of Asheville, NC; two cherished grandchildren Alexandra Pliscof of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla; and Walter A. Rapetski III of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by a brother Anthony Iaccarino and his wife Gloria of Orange, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Marie Gawlowski and a brother Frank Iaccarino Sr.
