Rose Elizabeth Shawyer Peanut age 64, of Berryville passed away August 30, 2012. She was born January 16, 1948 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Willis David Bohrer and Goldie May (Hansrote) Phillips. For 25 plus years Rose worked as a CNA. She was employed by Marion County Nursing Home for a number of years. She also worked at Nursing homes in Boone and Carroll County before she retired due to illness in 2003. Rose loved traveling, horseback riding, going to horse races and dog tracks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Rose was a compassionate person. She loved taking care of people and it became her purpose in life. She is survived by her siblings, Eva Virginia Fravel Butchy of Falling Waters, West Virginia, William David Bohrer also of Falling Waters, West Virginia, Carolyn Jane Sue Maxwell and husband Harold Maxwell of Berryville, Edgar Paul Phillips JR and wife Alice Fay Phillips of Green Forest, Gene Souza brother-in-law and caregiver of Berryville and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Rose is also preceded in death by: step-father, Edgar Paul Phillips SR, husband, John Wayne Shawyer and her first husband Steven Joesph Kurta, also one brother-in-law Louis Andrew Fravel.
