Rose E. Pontnack, 75, of Freeport, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at her home.
Born March 31, 1940 in Freeport she was the daughter of Willy and Emma (Klotz) Alber. She married Keith Pontnack on October 12, 1981.
She worked at North Western Telephone Company, which became Verizon, for over 25 years. She also worked at Micro Switch in Freeport.
An avid Bears fan, she was a caregiver to her family and friends. Rose enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and at her church.
She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Keith of Freeport; her children, Diane (Timothy) Regan of Freeport and Michael (Jill) Ballard of Byron, four grandchildren, Michael Regan, and Katie Regan, Emma Ballard and Arley Ballard, her step children, Layne (Amy) Pontnack of Monroe, Michigan, Joel (Tina) Pontnack and Melody (George) Griffin both of Freeport; her step grandchildren, Tonya Wise, Ben and Adam Pontnack, Casey (Jessica) Griffin, Caleb Griffin and Drew Griffin; her siblings, Walter (Regina) Alber of Monroe, WI, Edith (Jaime) Dadez of Freeport, Irmgarde Drier of Onalaska, WI, Herb (Earlene) Alber of Tempe, AZ, Betty Keppen of Freeport, Willy (Jean) Alber of Freeport, Joann Motter of Freeport, Ted (Marjorie) Alber of Tempe, AZ, Joe (Ellen) Alber of Mission Viejo, CA.; dozens of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Cecilia Alber and Mary Scudder.
