Rose Columbia DeFazio Ferguson peacefully went to meet the Lord, on September 22, 2014. Rose was born November 4, 1932 in the East View section of Clarksburg, WV the daughter of Giuseppe (Joe) DeFazio and Mary Rose Talerico DeFazio.
Rose thoroughly enjoyed crafts. She was always making something to give to family and friends. Her specialties were knitting, crocheting and plastic canvas. From Christmas decorations to hand towels, she was always crafting.
When she wasn’t working with her crafts she was whipping up something to eat. Many friends and family were happy recipients of her numerous recipes. From making her own pasta noodles, to creating her versions of popular dishes, Rose could make anything taste good. A family favorite was her homemade meatballs and sauce.
Loved by all, Rose was a member of the United Methodist Temple in Clarksburg, WV.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey Ferguson, Jr., son; Donald Ferguson (wife Martha Ann McKinley Ferguson), daughter; Ronay Ferguson Tenney (husband Kevin Tenney) and five grandchildren; Allyson Tenney, Kristin Tenney, Megan Tenney, William Ferguson and Emma Ferguson, sisters; Matilda Guerrirero, Jean Cain, Mary Rice, and Catherine Schofield (Carl) and brother; John DeFazio (Joy). She was preceded in death by sister; Gloria Redmond, and brothers; Anthony DeFazio, William DeFazio and Benjamin DeFazio.
The family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care Rose received at Mapleshire Nursing Home, and the excellent staff of the CCU at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
