Rose C. Kelly, 84, of Pine St. Columbia, wife of Raymond C. Kelly, died Sunday Feb. 10, 2002 at the Roncalli Health Center in Willimantic. She was born July 1, 1917 in Barre, Mass. the daughter of Joseph and Josephina Baro. Rose was a graduate of B.U. School of Business Education and completed her post graduate studies at Brown University. Her career as a teacher spaned 37 years. She began at the Rockville High School, then taught and Plainfield High School and from 1956 to her retirement in 1978 at Windham High School. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the Connecticut Education Assoc., the Windham Education Assoc., the National Education Assoc., the Connecticut State Retired Teacher?s Assoc., the retired Windham teacher?s luncheon group, the National Business Education Assoc. and was also active in numerous other organizations. Rose served on the Board of Directors of the Willimantic Chapter of the American Red Cross and was active locally and state wide in the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). She enjoyed people and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Raymond C. Kelly and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Fred Wellwood of Coventry of Coventry and her brother Victor Baro.
