Rose Lewis, 59, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on July 17, 2021.

Rose was born in Rose Hall, Jamaica to the late Thomas and Ivy Mearl Powell Burton. She moved to Middletown, New York where she lived for many years before relocating to Port St. Lucie 14 years ago. Prior to retirement, she worked in the foodservice industry as a dietary aide.

In her spare time, Rose loved to sing, dance, and laugh. She liked to go for walks and solve crossword puzzles. Her greatest passion was her love for the Lord and her family.

Rose was the loving mother of Rasun King, Alleisha Rattray, and Cephas Rattray; adored grandmother of Rasun King, Allijah Peynado, Eli Peynado, and Ezekiel Peynado; dear sister of the late Pauline Tomlinson (Ralph), the late Osbourne Burton Tomlinson, Barbara Thomas (Linvell), Ivan Burton (Icilda) the late Hermie Cole, Charles Burton, Linburgh Burton (Mary), Nell Baxter, Angella Burton, Arnette Tomlinson, and Herman Burton. She is also survived by many more relatives and friends.
