Rose Angela Mastalski passed away quietly at Lakeland Regional Medical Center on March 19.  Family and friends were at her bedside.  Rose was most commonly known as Angela, Angie or Nanny.

Angela was born on August 22, 1929 in Deddington, England, before moving to Steeple Aston near Oxford.  In 1964 she met US Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Mastalski, Jr. at Upper Heyford Air Force Base.  On January 31, 1965, Angela immigrated to Massachusetts where she would marry Andrew on February 13. The couple just celebrated their 50th anniversary at a party held locally with many friends and family members. In 1967 the couple adopted their daughter Belinda, while still living in Massachusetts.

The light of Angela’s life was her Great-Grandson Mason who was born on her 84th birthday.  She was devoted to Mason and constantly remarked to everyone that Mason was “lovely.”

Angela was an ardent Lakeland Dreadnaught Supporter who barely missed a football game since 1982.  She could easily be found in the stands with husband Andrew as the Ship Hat Family, wearing large Dreadnaught Ship hats to each game, home or away. She loved the players and was always happy when they came up to give her a hug and thank her for coming to the games.

Rose is survived by her husband, Andrew; daughter, Belinda and son-in-law Bryan; adopted Grandson, Jake and her family in England, Sisters, Jean (John) and Marie, her twin, and brothers Gordon and Alistair.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as countless close friends.
