Mrs. Rosalind T. Cooke Dye peacefully and quietly departed from her earthly life on Sunday morning, July 28, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Willard H. & Norma Simrel Cooke.

Mrs. Dye was born on September 5, 1952 in High Point, NC and raised by her parents with 4 siblings. She was educated in the High Point City Schools and graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School. Mrs. Dye was employed as a Librarian Assistant with the High Point Library, and her latter employment until her retirement was with the Guilford County Schools as a Teacher’s Assistant.

Mrs. Dye was married for 42 years to her childhood sweetheart, Bill. She was a loyal wife and lovingly devoted mother to their daughter, Pamela J. Dye and their pet dog, “Chip.” “Roz” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a woman with a beautiful smile and a sweet, mellow disposition. As a friend, she was loyal, patient, dependable, and a good listener.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dye was recently preceded in death by her mother-in-law, the late Mrs. Lucille J. Dye. Surviving relatives are: her husband, Spencer W. (Bill) Dye, daughter, Pamela J. Dye; her siblings, Z. Byrdene Franklin, Delores (Marshall) Sudderth, Warren (Yvonne) Cooke, Peter (Carla) Cooke. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Bobby (Leona) Dye, sisters-in-law, Sonja (Rev. Reuben J.) Boyd, Sheila (Lee J.) Vernon, and Sylvia (Rev. Anthony) Rogers. Mrs. Dye will also be dearly missed by her best friend, Ms. Sara Hoover, and nieces, nephews, cousins, Earl Hoke and the Simrel family.
