Rosalind Jane Holmes, age 84, a lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, May 23rd, at the BID Hospital in Plymouth. She was the loving mother of Suzanne B. Holmes of Haverhill, Janet E. Holmes of Plymouth, Christine E. Holmes of North Plymouth, Charles H. Holmes, Jr. of Plymouth, and Bradford R. Holmes of Plymouth. Sister of Sylvia Vierre of Plymouth, Richard Holmes of Plymouth, Edwin Holmes of Plymouth, and the late William B. Holmes, Wesley Holmes, Stephen Holmes, Helen Hutchinson, Marcia Wall, and Shirley Holmes Matheson. Rosalind is survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Charles “Chappy” H. Holmes.Rosalind was born in Plymouth on January 24, 1937, daughter of the late William B. Jr. and Elizabeth (Herries) Holmes. She attended Plymouth Public Schools, and had many careers, including Bert’s Restaurant, and Plymouth Beach. Rosalind loved oil painting, ceramics, and bowling.
