Rosalie Zoe Boyer, the daughter of Eugene “Bill” and Vivian (Boyer) Sowles, was born on December 2, 1947 in Heron Lake, Minnesota. She received her LPN from Minnesota West Community College in Worthington, MN. On June 1, 1963 Rosalie married Tommie J. Bannor at the First Presbyterian Church in Round Lake, MN, and raised five boys together. They later divorced and she then married Doug Winkel. Rosalie had worked as a nurse at the Lake Park Care Center. She then opened Rosie’s Restaurant in Harris. Rosalie was a member of First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. She enjoyed doing crafts with her grandchildren and neighbors children. Rosalie loved Elvis and spending time with her family and grandkids. Left to cherish Rosalie’s memory are her sons, Tommie (Julie) Bannor of Altoona, Jerry Bannor of St. Louis, MO, Marc (Stacy) Bannor of Milford, Joe Bannor of Harris and Tony Bannor of Lake Park; twelve grandchildren, Jesse, Nick, Ryan Kae, Jake, Luke, Meghan, Shelby, Zach, Brayden, Alexis, Abby and Thomas; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Pam (Scott) Schultz of Hermosa, FL and Sandy (Dave) Weets of Alpha, MN; and brothers, Dan (Nancy) Sowles and Rod (Audra) Sowles all of Brewster, MN, Alan Thiel of Carver, MN, Pat (Wendy) Thiel of Minneapolis, MN and Rodney Thiel of Sherburn, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Doug Winkel.
