Rosalie Ellen (Johnson) Belcher, 66, of Higganum, wife of the late Gerald Belcher, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Chestelm Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Richford, VT, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Margaret (LaMonda) Johnson.
Rosalie lived in Middletown most of her life. She was employed at Stop and Shop in Middletown for several years and loved animals and doing crafts.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Merrill of Portland; two daughters, Margaret Merrill of Hartford and Dawn Merrill of Middletown; four brothers, Gary W. Johnson of Cromwell, Lawrence C. Johnson of Hodges, SC, Timothy R. Johnson of Cromwell and Christopher E. Johnson of Middletown; two sisters, Dorothy S. Sorvillo of Moodus and Debra Schafer of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
