Rosalie Marie Hill Elliott

Rosalie was born on January 10th, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA. She passed away peacefully in her home,  on April 16th 2020.

Rosalie is survived by her children Bay Elliott (and wife Sandra), Audrey  Ainberger (and husband Christian), Don Elliott (and partner Lisa), Mark Elliott (and partner Jamie) and granddaughter Kate Elliott (and husband Felipe), and grandsons Scott Shypula and Sean Shypula (and wife Heather). She is also survived by countless loved ones who were part of her incredible life.

In addition to her limitless achievements as a mother and businesswoman, Rosalie also possessed talents and passions for national and international travel, drawing, painting, writing poetry, story-telling and gardening. Not only was Rosalie a talented person, she was also recognized as one of Miami’s most beautiful women, due in part to her natural beauty, part to her grace and charm, and part to her impeccable style and dress.

Rosalie remained elegant, selfless, independent and mom to all, up to her last moment with us. She treated everyone as family, and there are many friends of her children and grandchildren who knew her as a second mom. We are blessed that so many are still in touch today.

Covering Rosalie’s entire 94 years of incredible life would require an encyclopedia. She was simply amazing. She will be missed by every single person privileged to know her.  She would understand being very sad about her passing, but she would also encourage you to turn your sadness into love, appreciation, and shared-time with your family and friends; to cherish every precious moment. Her philosophy in life was always very simple: “Take care of yourself, take care of others; no muss, no fuss.”
