Rosaleen J. Devlin, 92, of St. Louis, MO and formerly of Virginia, IL died Monday, October 10, 2016, at the Mary Queen and Mother Center in St. Louis.

She was born May 30, 1924, in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of William J. and Rose M. Hade Devlin.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary Mefford (deceased husband, Don) of Vista, CA and Helen Mills (deceased husband, James) of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Devlin.

Rosaleen was a graduate of Virginia High School and later received a BA degree in sociology from the University of Illinois at Champaign and a MS degree in business management from Webster College in St. Louis.  She joined the Gaylord Container Corporation in St. Louis in 1950 and it later became Crown-Zellerbach, then Regal, and later Rexham before evolving into the Container Corporation of America, from where she retired in 1981.

She was a devoted Catholic parishioner and enjoyed attending performances by the opera and symphony in the St. Louis area with her close friends.  She loved to travel and play golf into her 80’s. And she was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan.
