Rosalee Kay Giltner Dice (“Rosie”) was born in Boise, Idaho on October 31, 1944 to Grace Laura and James Oscar Giltner. She was the youngest of four: James, Anna and Mary were her siblings. The Giltners are well remembered in Kuna for their grocery store.
Rosie graduated from Kuna High School in 1963 where she had played saxophone in the marching band and lettered in typing and journalism. She went on to graduate from California State University, Chico CA with a degree in psychology. She was a certified drug and alcohol counselor.
Rosie valued her family more than anything else and was proud of her daughter DeLayne and grand-daughters LaCosta and Tammara. Her great-grandson Brantley, LaCosta’s son, brought tremendous joy to her life. She was delighted when new baby Jax, Tammara’s son, was born in February.
Rosie dedicated her life to loving and helping others.
Rosie went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019. She suffered from heart failure and passed after a brave battle. A faithful Christian, we have confidence that Rosie is in Heaven with Jesus. She is survived by her sister Mary Allen, her daughter DeLayne Dice, granddaughters LaCosta and Tammara Dice, great grandsons Brantley and Jax. She also leaves behind nieces and extended family and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Laura and Oscar, her brother James and sister Anna.
