Rosa O. Knight Hughes, 89, Anderson, passed away January 25, 2011 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
She was born November 26, 1921 in Gasden, Alabama, and resided in Anderson since 2003. Rosa was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading her bible and listening to her gospel radio show. She also enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME church. She was a lifelong member of Rising Star Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama.
She is survived by her children, Clarence Falvie Burk Sr. of Anderson, Lois Nell Burk of Sylacauga, Alabama and Billy JoAnne Burk of Anderson; several step-children, grandchildren, Marqueda Jeremy Alexander Burk, Clarence Burk Jr., Nicole Burk and Richetta Winfred Logan; and several great grandchildren.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Buford & Rachel Oden Knight; 1st husband, Carzell Burk, 2nd husband, Timothy Smith; 3rd husband, Marvin Hughes and a brother, Buford Knight Jr. Special thanks to all the employees at Bethany Pointe.
