WINSTON-SALEM- Mrs. Rosa Marie Hayes Jenkins, 86, passed away Thursday November 15, 2018.
Mrs. Jenkins was born October 11, 1932 to Ernest Lucas Hayes and Lilly Mae Cannada. Mrs. Jenkins devoted her life to her family and will be remembered for making “dog gone good biscuits”.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lucas Hayes and Lilly Mae Cannada; husband, Amos Lee Jenkins, Sr; son, Amos Lee Jenkins, Jr; brother, Bobby Hopson; sister, Mary “Reenie” Cannada.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her son, Kenneth Ray Jenkins of Winston-Salem, NC; daughters, Shelia Faye Fletcher (Butch) of Durham, NC, Linda Jenkins Vanderburg of Winston-Salem, NC, Pamela Jenkins McCarthy of Winston-Salem, NC and Patricia Cannada Smith; brother, Donald Wayne Cannada (Glenda) of Clayton, NC; sisters, Myrtle “Reecie” Locust, Bettie Faye Wheelous; grandchildren, John Fletcher, Brian Fletcher, Brad Fletcher, Renee McCarthy Helms (Ashley), Rebecca “Becky” McCarthy; great-grandchildren, Brooke Fletcher, Drew Fletcher, Blake Fletcher, Kendall Fletcher, Allison Fletcher, Amanda Fletcher, Danielle Helms, Jason Helms, Riley Purvis.
