Ronnie Oliver, 76, a lifetime resident of Rensselaer, IN, passed away on November 10, 2021 at his residence. Ronnie was born in Rensselaer, IN on September 6, 1945, the son of Gerritt and Irene (Hale) Oliver.
Ronnie worked for the Laborer’s Union Local 41 for over twenty years before retiring in 1986. On October 5, 1968, he married Ann Hughes in Rensselaer, IN, and she survives.
Ronnie attended the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Rod (Mary) Oliver Sr. and Kim (Jim) Chops, all of Rensselaer; grandchildren, Phylicia Oliver, Jordan (Brittney) Chops, Kaitlin Chops, R.J. Oliver Jr., and Megan Oliver; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Risner of Clearwater, FL, Donnie (Mabel) Oliver and Carl Oliver, both of Demotte, and Carol Wireman of Kniman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerritt and Irene.
