Ronald “Ronnie” David Maresh, of Elkhart, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, the 31st day of August 2021. Ronnie passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center at the age of 68. He was born on the 1st day of December 1952, in Houston, Texas, to parents Vencil Joseph Maresh and Mary Wesley Bell Maresh.
Ronnie was a loving husband and father who loved his family with all his heart. He was their biggest supporter and would do anything for them. He was also thought of as “dad” by many other children, not just his own two sons. Ronnie retired from Walmart Warehouse after 30 years of hard work. He restored classic cars and hot rods. He was a Jack of all trades and loved fixing anything that broke down. In his early years, Ronnie, loved being behind the wheel and drag racing. Many people would also say he had a beautiful voice and could sing well. Ronnie was an active member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart and prepared for the day he would meet the Lord. Our hearts are saddened but we look forward to the time when we will be together again.
He joins in Heaven his parents Vencil and Mary Maresh, and sisters, Mary Jo Nevill and Cathy Turner.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Pat Maresh; sons, Jeremy Maresh of Elkhart, Texas and Jonathan Maresh of Tyler, Texas; sister, Toni Hall and husband Wayne; brothers, Vencil Maresh, Jr. and wife Sonya, Danny Maresh. Ronnie also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, additional family members and friends.
