A TIME TO BE MARRIED On May 29th, 1966, Ronnie married his high school sweetheart LaVonne Williams in which he remained married until his earthly departure
A TIME TO BE EMPLOYED Ronnie was employed with the City of San Diego for 30+ years in which he retired in 2000. Ronnie owned his own business as a licensed plumber and painter
A TIME TO REFLECT Ronnie was a unique person, a man of few words who cherished long lasting friendships with his Lincoln Alumni. Ronnie spent his time working out at the gym, fishing at various local lakes and in Arizona. Ronnie also enjoyed cooking and we all know he could dress!
A TIME TO BE FULFILLEDGod with His sovereignty and infinite powers, called His child home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 TIME FOR LEGACY Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, LaVonne Lewis of 46+years of San Diego, CA; five children, Tina Bass, Ronnie Lewis II (Sherry),Cylnthia Long (John), Dayrel Lewis (Ronette) and Shanae Porter (Robert) all of San Diego, CA; his mother, Viola Lewis of San Diego, CA fourteen grandchildren: Sabryna Smith, John Long Jr. (Shevonte), Ronnie Lewis III (Leah), Ashley Lewis,Michael Long, Mari’on Long, Gary Smith, Cavina Fonte (David), Lige Brooks, Tyler Hollis,Myeisha Lewis, Shiann Lewis,Shaneia Porter and Dayrel Lewis Jr.; four great- grandchildren, Jyiah Long, Noelle Smith, Jyaele Long and Ronnie Lewis IV; two brothers, Bennie Lewis Jr. (Gwen) of Murietta, CA, Robbie Earl Lewis of San Diego, CA; one sister, Barbara Patton (James) of San Diego, CA; two aunts: Doris Lewis of Birmingham, AL and Vera Tubbs of Racine of WI; a special brother-friend, Joe Lowery (Dorothy) of San Diego, CA; eight additional in-laws; Danny Williams,Margaret Lewis, Joyce Lewis, Wanda Coleman, Bobbie Shaw, Linda Williams, Lola Williams and Bobbie Williams; goddaughters, Caroline Harper, Stacey Henderson and Thomasine Porter and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to celebrate his transition to Glory. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Lewis and his brother, John Lewis.
