Ronnie Charles Broshar, the son of Charles Edward and Virginia May (Kaster) Broshar, was born on July 8, 1941, in Moravia. He grew up in Moravia until moving to Newton just prior to his graduation from Newton High School in 1959.  After graduation an extended road trip to the West Coast resulted in him making his home in Seattle, Washington and working in Tool and Die for the Boeing Corporation. He would later move back to Newton and work for the Maytag Company.  After retiring from Maytag, Ronnie used his love of antiques to become an antique dealer. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, going to horse races, and cooking.  Ronnie also liked to keep up with current events and the stock market.

Ronnie died at the age of 81 on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his home in Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronnie is survived by his sister, Lois Carole Campbell of Newton; two nieces, Melinda (Tom) Robertson and Sherri (Pete) Sciarrotta, both of Newton; his great-nephew and nieces, Grant (Kristan) Worthington, Adena (Ross) Segar, Anna Maria (Brenden) Sciarrotta, and Micaela Sciarrotta; his great-great-nephew, Reuben Layton and great-great-niece, Kailey Segar.
