Ronald Herbert Webster born April 15, 1932 in Steele County, Owatonna, Minnesota to Leon and Helen Krause Webster. He passed away May 11, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa from cancer.
Ron is survived by his wife Gen of Lucas, Iowa; sons Eddie Webster of Morris, Illinois; Jim (Patti) Webster of Chariton, Iowa; Gary (Diane) Webster of Indianola, Iowa; Tom (Kelly) Webster of Lucas, Iowa; daughters Rosanne (Don) Epperson of Center, Missouri; and Teresa (Steve) Hegre of Chariton, Iowa; sister Betty Johnson of Owatonna, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Steve and granddaughter Jenni Epperson.
Ron attended Medford Schools in Medford, Minnesota. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan as a medic until his discharge in 1953. After discharge he went to work for Yearbook Printing owned by Jostens where he met Genevieve Seykora. They married in 1954. Ron was transferred to Missouri for his job where he and Gen started their family of 7 children. He worked for Western Publishing in Hannibal, Missouri until 1973 when the plant closed. They moved to Lucas, Iowa where they purchased a farm and Ron started working at Garner Printing until his retirement in 1992. He continued to work on the farm and raising cattle.
