Ronald “Ron” Wallace Moore, age 72, died in Woodland Park, CO.

Ron was born in Denver, CO, the oldest of four children to Harold and Shirley Moore.  He is survived by his siblings Bob Moore, Debbie McDaniel and Judy Schenk.  He retired as a mechanical engineer from a long, fulfilling career with Conoco Phillips.  He was able to live overseas for the majority of his work and was diligent to return home for a holiday to be with family.  Ron enjoyed traveling and was able to see much of the world, capturing it to share with others through photographs and artwork of many forms.  He enjoyed snowshoeing, skiing, especially the last few years with his brother, sailing, and was a master gardener.  He liked to hike – alone or with friends and family – and volunteered to help take care of trails in his community in his retirement.  Ron certainly enjoyed being out in creation!  He volunteered with Silver Key, Friends of Mueller State Park and Fossil Beds.  Ron always had a book, magazine or paper to read from, enjoyed his football, going to ballets and experiencing new things.

Ron was a very thoughtful person.  His cards were always early; he followed the comings and goings of his family; and was always listening.  He had a quick wit and always enjoyed a good joke.  He was a gentleman, caring for those in need, especially in devotion to his aging parents.  Ron was a deep thinker and could carry on thought provoking conversations when the opportunity arose, but he would never interrupt.  He did things with excellence no matter how small and was a hard worker.
