Ronald Valmonte Posadas was born on January 8, 1955 in Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines, to Gualberto (deceased) and Isabel (95 years old) Posadas.

Ronald, at his very young age, his father died early due to an illness. In order to sustain his education and to have “baon”, he needed to sell “ice buko” after school hours and weekends. He attended high school in their hometown. He continued his education at DMMMSU, formerly La Union School of Arts and Trades in San Fernando, La Union with a 2-year course Drafting. He wanted to pursue engineering but due to financial constraints, he took up Drafting instead.

Ronald worked at Philex Mining Corporation as a Draftsman at Milling Department for more than 10 years. Due to his perseverance and hard-work, he was able to put up his own business of Art and Signs at La Trinidad, Benguet. 

Ronald was married to Lydia in the Philippines with three offspring, Jennifer, Rolly and Ronalyn. He also has two other children namely, Justine Paul and Don King.

He was known to be the “Dolphy look-alike” with his corny funny jokes. He excelled in painting, drawing, and other art & sign works. He enjoys cooking Ilocano dishes. He is also a good singer, singing his favourite songs of Tom Jones.

In 2012, his dream to come to America came true when he was petitioned as an immigrant in the USA by his daughter, Lyn. He then worked at Allied Trailers for over 7 years. 

Ronald is survived by his mother Isabel, spouse Lydia; his daughter who is in the Philippines, Jennifer and son-in-law Froilan; son Rolly and Margie and their children, Merick Khester, Ryleigh Samantha and Casziel Ellie; daughter Lyn and son-in-law Pastor Neil and their children Joseph Daniel, Caleb Joshua, Hannah Abigail; 2 sons, Justine Paul and Don King, a host of other loving family members, relatives, and friends who grieve his passing yet celebrate his entrance into the kingdom of God in heaven.
