Obituary of Ronald V. Howley
HOWLEY, Ronald V. “Todd” of Saginaw passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 92 years old. Ronald V. Howley was born in Merrill, MI on May 28, 1919 to the late Hugh and Mae Ellen (Sidley) Howley. He married Rita Kowalski on August 25, 1943 in Vallejo, CA, she survives him. Todd owned and operated the Log Cabin in Freeland, MI until his retirement in 1984. He proudly served his Country during WWII with the Army Air Corps receiving an American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. Todd was a faithful member of St. Helen Catholic Church and Knight of Columbus Council #4232. He also enjoyed golfing.
Todd is survived by his wife, Rita; a daughter, Sally Schaar; a son, Pat (Karen) Howley; four grandchildren: Colliene (Dan) Willison, Todd (Sadie) Cowper, Terra (Peter) Olgine and Eric Howley; six great grandchildren: Jennifer, Mia, Molly, Chase, Mateo and Lily; sisters-in-law: Fran Howley, Lorraine Biskup and Polly Kowalski; brother-in-law, Ron (Mona) Kowalski and many nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charlie Schaar; four brothers: James, John, Terry and Bob Howley; and two sisters: Mary Samuel and Ann Lynch.
