Ronald Thomas DeBoard Sr., 71, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
Ron was born May 11, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.
He married Patricia Schilling on Nov. 21, 1964, they were married for 51 years.
Ron was employed with F.H. Langsenkamp in Indianapolis as a truck driver, retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the Madison Ave. Baptist Church in Indianapolis, where he served as a Deacon.
He was a Bantam League Football coach and Little League Baseball coach for many years in Greenwood. Ron was an avid Green Bay Packer Football fan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia DeBoard of Greenwood, two children, Ronald Thomas (Anita) DeBoard Jr. of Florida and Melissa Ann DeBoard of Greenwood, a sister, Mary Kathryn (Clint) Courtney of Brownsburg, six grandchildren, Erika (Isaac) Horner, Colt, Alyssa, Blake, Shyanne, and Brayden DeBoard and five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Natalie, Jasmine, Carter and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith DeBoard, a sister, Carol Hestand and a grandson, Jensen Heiney.
