Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Smith, age 73, of Valley, Al. passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Judy Smith; son, Robert (Tiffany) Smith of Columbus, Ga.; daughter, Andrea Smith of Midland City, Al.; grandchildren, Brakya Smith and Makayla Smith; sisters, Arlette (Larry) Newton and Rhonda (Jim) Kirby, both of Valley; brother in law, Jerry Land of Valley; a host of special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Smith was born on January 1, 1941 in Langdale, Al. to the late Roy and Lee Smith. He was a Deacon of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a good and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a security guard at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al. for 17 years.
