Ronald Skelton, age 67 of Garth, AL, ran to Jesus on Sunday at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, he moved to and attended Paint Rock School and graduated from Gurley High School.  In 1973 he married Jeannette Terry Skelton, and together they had one child, Lindee Terry Skelton Fletcher.  They divorced in 1993. Ronald worked for Barber-Colman Company, sold insurance and worked for several car dealerships until he started his own company, J. C. Money Company in the early 90s.  He was member at Paint Rock Seventh Day Baptist Church. Was an ordained deacon and Justice of the peace.  He was Past Master at Holly Grove 323 in Princeton.  He was Initiated Jan. 3,1983, Passed- March 7,1983, Raised-  June 28,1983 at Gurley Lodge. Also of Cahaba shrine and Cahaba Buffoons, Scottish Rite. An unique soul, Ronald aka Poppy was a very funny and kindhearted Christian man who enjoyed telling jokes, doing magic tricks, playing his banjo, hiking, riding motorcycles, muscle cars and many other talents he possessed. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Skelton, mother Oma Little, Step father Walter “Bo” Little, one brother Leon Skelton, two half brothers Bufford “Red” Skelton, infant brother W. Skelton and one half sister Ophelia Brown and one step sister Patsy Maggert.

Ronald is survived by his daughter Lindee Skelton Fletcher, and husband Tom, two grandsons, Hunter and Garrett Russell, of Moulton, AL; two step-granddaughters, Jordan Barnwell and husband, Marcus, and Brittany Fletcher; brother, James Skelton, and wife Pat; sisters Sue Creech, and husband Jim, half-brother, William Knott, two step-sisters, Donna Smith, and husband E.J., and Sandy Moore, and husband Jeffrey; step-brother, Charles Little, and wife Sue; two step-granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews and last but not least, his beloved cat Elmer.
