Ronald Paul Lewallen, age 83, of Elkhart, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, the 7th day of October 2022. Ronnie as he was best known, was born in Waco, Texas, on the 3rd day of December 1938, to parents Robert Hugh Lewallen and Aron Ballard Lewallen.
Mr. Lewallen was a loving husband, devoted father, and affectionate grandfather. The time he was able to spend with his family was what he cherished most in life. He served in the United States National Guard and retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after a long career.
Mr. Lewallen had a passion for old cars, and he enjoyed working on them until they were up and running again. Luckily, he was a mechanic and could fix anything. Mr. Lewallen was happiest when he was in the outdoors mowing his yard and his pasture, or fishing and hunting. He also loved feeding the deer that lived near his house.
Mr. Lewallen joins his parents Robert and Aron Lewallen, daughter Sandra Eastland, and his brother Robert Lewallen, in Heaven.
He leaves behind his loving wife Carolyn Burnett Lewallen; son, Ronald P. Lewallen, Jr.; grandchildren, Kimberly Sharon, Jennifer Etievant, Rebecca Eastman, Benjamin Eastman, Christian Lewallen, Emily Lewallen; and great-grandchildren, Tabitha Garrett, Jesse Garrett, Robert Perry, Tela Etievant, Kaden Etievant, Kesen Etievant, Madilyn Grace Gay, Lilly Kate Gay, and Gage Toney. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
