Ronald “Ron” Lee Criswell, 80, of Lafayette, passed away March 10, 2022, at Franciscan Health East, Lafayette.
He was born January 2, 1942, in Lafayette to the late Robert and Venita (Macmillian) Criswell. He attended Lafayette Jefferson High School and was a lifetime member of The Moose Lodge. Since learning to swing a hammer, Ron worked with his father at Criswell and Sons contractors. Learning the trade from his father, Ron became a master of renovations and building homes. As he approached retirement, he invested in rental properties that he managed with his daughter, Tammy.
Ron became a significant factor in his grandchildren’s lives, furthering their education and careers. It was important for him to see his grandchildren succeed. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, he particularly enjoyed vacationing at Disney.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Tammy Cox (husband, Dennis Cook); 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, and Jordan Cox, and Austin and Macy Cook; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jerome of Lafayette; 4 brothers, Robert (Aldean) Criswell of Attica, Roger (Joyce) Criswell, Russell Criswell, and Richard (Liz) Criswell, all of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Venita Criswell.
