The Reverend Ronald R. Mulberger, 68, of Williamsport, died Thursday January 13, 2011 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. Born September 8, 1942 in Williamsport, a son of Joseph and Juanita (Miller) Mulberger.
Rev. Mulberger was married to the late Caroyln (Perry) Mulberger on June 25, 1966 until her passing in March of 1984.
He was a 1960 graduate of Williamsport High School and then served in the Army from 1960 to 1963. He then graduated from Lycoming College in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy. He graduated from Waterloo Seminary, Ontario, Canada, in 1973, where he earned his Master of Divinity Degree in Systematic Theology. He completed his graduate work at Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia and of Gettysburg.
Rev. Mulberger had served parish’s at Buffalo Lutheran in Lewisburg, St. John in the height, in Jim Thorpe, where he organized and directed the Jim Thorpe Community Choir, Christ Lutheran Church of Harrisburg and while there he served on commission on ecumenism of the Synod, St. Auguston of Philadelphia, where he served as parish developer, and Our Savior Lutheran of Baltimore Maryland, while there he voluntarily engaged in Ministry to people with AIDS, doing fund raising with pork dinners which were a huge success. In addition to his mother Juanita Mulberger of Montoursville, he is survived by two sisters, Laurelee Kane (Alan Cipriani) of Williamsport, and Kathryn (Mike) Keister of New Cumberland, two brothers Jerry (Ruth) Mulberger of Montoursville and James (Cathy) Mulberger of Bellefonte, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and father he was preceded in death by a brother Robyn Mulberger in 2009.
