Ronald P. LaBarge, 57
Schodack Ronald P. LaBarge, 57, of Shelterwood Road, died Tuesday at Albany Medical Center Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Glens Falls, he was son of Lucille Ruth Horwald LaBarge of Cora Peake, NC and the late Ellsworth W. LaBarge and husband for 37 years of Patricia A. Persons LaBarge. He was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School and Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. LaBarge was an electronic engineer for Gurley Precision in Troy for the past 26 years.
He was active in genealogical research, was a self-taught, master finger style guitarist and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include two sons, Michael B. LaBarge (Michelle) of Scotia and Matthew P. LaBarge (Heidi Charter) of East Greenbush; a daughter, Melissa A. Barber (James) of West Sand Lake; a brother David E. LaBarge (Elizabeth) of Hinsdale, NH; a sister Lois Maille (Richard) of Cora Peake, NC; four grandchildren, Alexander M. LaBarge, Mikayla Lynn Barber, Alannah Rose Barber and James Richard Barber II and several nieces and nephews.
