Ronald Nathan Chandler, 81, of Daytona Beach Shores, FL passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born June 17, 1934 in Buckhannon; son of the late Audrey Basil Chandler and Hazel Grey Daugherty.
Ronald is survived by loving wife, of 56 years, Evelyn Kay Hanshaw Chandler; one son, Ronald N. Chandler, Jr. and wife Donna Ducheneau Chandler; step daughter, Katie Barrette of Clayton, NC; one daughter, Jodi Chandler Newbold and husband Ray of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren, Sara and Drew Newbold of Overland Park, KS; one sister, Patricia Chandler Garrett and husband James Richard of Raleigh, NC; one sister-in-law, Georgia Sassen Chandler; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William Basil Chandler; one brother, Michael A Chandler; one sister, Marlene Joan Shepherd.
Ronald was employed by Petitto Brothers for many years before moving to Woodbridge, VA to work as an electrician. He was Methodist by faith and attended Duck Creek Methodist Church, for many years. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America, local 166; the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #4469 Daytona Beach Shores, Fl. He served in the United States Army.
