Mr. Mott died at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on May 3, 2015.
Ron was born on December 3, 1941, near Ewing, NE, the son of Grant and LoRee (Wondercheck) Mott. He attended and graduated from Central College High School in McPherson, KS, in 1959.
On March 11, 1962, Ron married Jacque Barnhart in Neligh, NE. The couple farmed and raised livestock all their married life.
Ron was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Ewing where he served as a board member for several years.
Following Jacques death on July 10, 2002, in Neligh, Ron married Ruth Matthews-Amen in Ruths backyard on August 30, 2003, Ron was injured in a pedestrian/auto accident on their wedding night and spent 21 days in the hospital. He gave up farming in 2006 and shortly thereafter started working in the produce department of Wal-Mart in Norfolk which he enjoyed. Ron became disabled from medical complications in January of 2011. He entered the Golden Living Center in Norfolk for the final time on July 26, 2013.
Ron is survived by Ruth, of Norfolk; his children: daughter, Rhonda (Billy) Hammock, of ONeill; sons Gregg (Cindy) of Norfolk and Timothy (friend, Sheila) of Stanton; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 6 step children: Tammy (Mike) Amen, of Norfolk, Sheila Arlt, of Norfolk, Teresa (Troy) Hitz, of Battle Creek, Carla (Jason) Rittscher, of Norfolk, Jeremy (Cassi) Matthews, of Elkhorn, NE, and Crystal (Don) Magnuson, of Norfolk; 19 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren; his mother, LoRee Mott, of ONeill; sisters: Sharon (Lawrence) Hinrichsen, of Ewing and Tami (Rusty) Davis, of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law, Bob (Bonita) Oswald, of Aurora and sister-in-law, Fran Syrovatka, of Torrington, WY; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grant, his wife, Jacque, step granddaughter, Kelsey Hitz and mother-in-law, Ines Oswald.
