Ronald Lee Carter began his life’s journey of exemplary faithfulness on August 15, 1946. He was born in Newnan and was the son of the late James Grady and Annie Dalton Carter. He attended Newnan High School. Ronald had a natural aptitude for anything mechanical and that carried over into his stint in the Army during the Vietnam War. Returning home, he would spend his working career as a truck driver. It was only natural that he would be a fan of racing. His spare time would find him enjoying the Braves and wetting a hook now and then when the fish were biting. Ronald was faithful in the areas of his life that mattered most. He lived a life of faithfulness to his God and his church family at Trinity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent. God received Ronald into his reward in heaven on August 6, 2019. Ronald wrapped his family in his God-led faithfulness that sheltered his dear wife of 49 years, Peggy Hayes Carter; his children Pamela Carter Dingler and her husband Jeff, James Edward “Eddie” Carter, and his wife Allison. He adored his grandchildren Seth Newton, Carter Hughie, Maddie Carter, Bailey Woodruff, and Bri Dingler.

He is survived by a brother James D. Carter. And in a footnote, he leaves behind his faithful furry friend, Pebbles.
