He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patience, and their children Christi and her husband Gary, Viera, Fl: Jill, Jacksonville, Fl and Jeff and his wife Shannon, Birmingham. Al. Grandchildren, Evan, Kyler, Viera, Fl, Iris, Roman, Lillian, Birmingham, Al.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack Hurwitz and Thelma Ritz.
He spent 8 years in the Marine Corps and 12 years in the Army retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a combat decorated Vietnam veteran.
