Ronald Lavere Buckner, 84, of Anderson, passed away November 7, 2016 at his residence in Anderson. He was born on August 13, 1932 in Greene County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. Ronald graduated from Anderson High School, Class of 1950.
He retired after 42 years of service at Delco Remy in Anderson where he worked as a utility man. He also worked for the Madison County Work Release. He was a member of the New Life Nazarene Church in Anderson, and UAW Local #662 in Anderson.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Pam (Charles) Retherford of Indianapolis; son, Ron (Carol) Buckner of Anderson; sister, Sandra (Ron) Forney of Anderson; 5 Grandchildren; Clinton (Brandy) Clark, Hendersonville, NC, Lori (Mark) Watson, Farmland, Brian Buckner (Fiancé Sarah) of Fishers, John Buckner of Cicero, and Kevin Buckner of Fishers; Step-Grandson, Jeremy Hubble of Anderson; 5 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Nieces. He was preceded in death by mother, Henrietta Markle; step-father, Delmas Markle; Wife, Beverly (Cage) Buckner; granddaughter, Casey Jo Clark.
