Ronald Everett LaCoss, age 70, passed away suddenly on September 14, 2016 at his residence in Great Falls.

Ronald was born to Henry and Joe LaCoss, May 31, 1946 in Hobbs, NM.  Ron, as he was known to most, was a retired decorated Vietnam era Vet with 22 years of service in the US Air Force. After retirement, Ron spent 17 years in Anchorage, AK, where he worked for the U.S. Census Bureau, FAA and TSA. He was transferred to Bozeman, MT, by TSA.  He decided to take retirement seriously, moved to Great Falls, MT where he lovingly cared for his wife.

Ron loved to spend time fishing, reading and collecting miniature cars and train sets. He was an avid car buff and his pride and joy was his 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible. Family and friends knew him for his charming and friendly personality. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He enjoyed being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He loved to joke around, was an excellent cook, and participated in chili cook-offs.

Ron is survived by his wife, Arlene, of Great Falls; children, Sue Newson (Scott), Scott McGuire (Julia); grandchildren, Cera, Jaylene, Jayce, Jay, and Deandra; great-grandchildren, Koda, Lexi, Zara and Luther, all of Alaska. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Sanders of Hobbs, NM; his identical twin brother and best friend, Donald LaCoss (Kathryn) of Albuquerque, NM; niece, Kathy Popely (Ted); and great-niece Paige, of Alaska.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty Devlin, Polly Schneider; brothers, Charles and Robert Black; and granddaughter, Jayda.

In his memory we ask you to go out and shake a vets hand and thank them for their service.
