Ronald L. Thomas, 69, of Junction City passed away on November 19, 2012 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.



Mr. Thomas was born on July 16, 1943 in Olney, the son of Joseph & Naomi (Stone) Thomas. He married Carolyn Sue Koch on April 16, 1965 in Central City and she survives in Junction City.



In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Ronnie Thomas Jr. and wife Jeannette of Junction City; one daughter Melissa Sue Beal of Centralia; three grandchildren Matthew Beal, Cristian Melton, and Gage Thomas; one brother Charlie Thomas and wife Candy of Centralia; five sisters Patricia Jones of Centralia, Barbara Lay and husband Gerald of Arkansas, Susie King of Centralia, Donna Sanders of Centralia, and Judy Schossler and husband Val of Centralia; four brother-in-laws Paul Jolliff, Mike Pryor, Bill Koch & wife Flora of Centralia, and Terry Koch and wife Debbie of Hoffman; three sister-in-laws Sandy Stamer and husband Richard of Centralia, Donna Martin and husband Charlie of St. Peters, Missouri, and Jackie Middleton; several nieces and nephews also survive.



He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Beverly Jolliff and Janice Pryor, three brother-in-laws John King, Earl Sanders, and Darrell Jones; three nephews John King Jr., Jimmy Koch, and Jeff Koch.



Mr. Thomas served in the United States Army. He was a Correction Officer for Centralia Correctional Center for 21 years before he retired in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, coon hunting and making fishing lures at his shop “Ron’s Custom Lures” He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and most of all his three grandchildren.
