Ronald L. Elliott, 80, of Keyesport, IL, born May 18, 1937 in O’Fallon, IL, passed away on December 9, 2017 in Carlyle, IL. Ronald was raised and schooled in O’Fallon, IL. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. In 1978 he moved to Keyesport, IL where he loved to fish. Ronald was an outdoors man, he enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit and moose hunting, as well as fishing. He retired from the Laborer’s Local International 670 as a Business Agent. Ronald was a great provider to his wife, Genevieve, he was never without work and always had a job.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nathlee Elliott, nee Colp; and sister, Delores Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Genevieve Elliott, nee Obernuefemann of Keyesport, IL; one sister, Joan DeVito of Columbia, SC; one brother, Larry (Rae Jean) Elliott of Belleville, IL; nieces and nephews; many special friends, especially Kathy and Joe; and his baby Shelty dog, Fred.
