Ron was always a determined person. The Lord tried many times to call him home early, starting when he was 17 months old, he crawled onto the train tracks and was run over by a train. A true medical miracle. He continued to surprise medical professionals, taking on 9 different types of rare cancer and beating them all throughout his life; these rare cases were often used to educate future Physicians. Although sometimes stubborn, he truly was as gentle as a teddy bear.

Ron and Bonnie started their family in Brigham City, where Ron worked as a Sales Manager for Victor Motors, he was a great manager and won one of the five Best Manager Awards for the entire Denver Zone and was awarded the Blue Star Sapphire Ring. Ron later began working with Flying J, a job that transferred his family all over the country. In 1975 they were transferred to Milwaukie, Oregon, in January of 1976 they were transferred to Reno and then moved to Sparks Nevada. In 1980 they were transferred to Williston, North Dakota where he worked as the refinery manager. In March of 1986 they relocated to Billings, Montana and Ron was promoted to the National Supply Manager position with Flying J. In addition to his career with Flying J, he

and his wife also owned two gas station convenience stores and an auto detailing shop while living in Billings. In March of 1995 they were transferred and relocated to Tremonton and later settled in Brigham City in March of 2004. He retired from Flying J after 28 years of service.

Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings including as the 1st Counselor in the Bishopric.

Ron was a talented woodworker and created all kinds of furniture and useful gadgets. He had an outstanding workshop, complete with every tool you could imagine. He taught the value of hard work to his children when they, as a family, restored a 1960 Chevy Impala Convertible. Their dedication paid off; the car won many car show ribbons as well as the prestigious President’s Choice Award. He took great pride in caring for his yard, he worked on it daily, including mowing the lawn on the Monday the week of his passing, his yard was immaculate. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank Crystal with Symbii Hospice for all her loving care. As well as a special thanks to Dr. Jeffery Lish, for all the years as a great physician and dear friend.
