Ronald Kelly Donoho, 86, of Centralia, IL, passed away at his home on Friday, January 18, 2019, with his family by his side.

Ronald was born on February 27, 1932, in Salem, IL, son of Rufus and Julia (Meador) Donoho. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Lee (Tanner) Donoho on August 19, 1951, in Osceola, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy Donoho; three children: Ronald G Donoho (Mary-fiance’), Glenda Boyles (Rick), and Gayla Resch (Dan-fiance’); nine grandchildren: Kimberly (Paul) Thaggard, Ronald J (Dana) Donoho, Cody Donoho, David A. Terry, Dennis Terry, Katy (Terry) Godfrey, Kelly Terry, Matt (Tosha) Terry, and Jameson Resch; fifteen great-grandchildren: Madi, Noah & Olivia Thaggard, Sophie, Jake and Drew Donoho, Clayton Terry, Lindsey (Robert) Tate , Emily Butts, Gabi, Natalie & Dylan Godfrey, Christopher Terry, and Kaitlyn & Ethan Terry. Five great-great grandchildren. One sister: Norma Lee Vaughn; one brother: Steve Donoho; one brother-in-law: James “Meredith” (Pat) Tanner; and many nieces, nephews and cousins Special care was given by Tina Chitwood, Leisa Goosetree, Clarissa Daag, Clarissa Strauch and SSM Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law: John “Mert” Tanner and Alice Tanner; one brother: James Olan Donoho; one sister: Bertie Lou Taylor; one sister-in-law: Flora “June” Johnson and one granddaughter-in-law: Becky (Jackson) Terry. He was a self-employed carpenter and built many homes and subdivisions in the Centralia area. He owned ArKay Construction and ArKay Insulation Companies and was a contracted Housing Inspector for the Marion County Housing Authority.

He was a man of many talents with many hobbies. He loved to spend time with his faithful companion, “Buddy”, remodel homes, rescue animals, spend time with his grandchildren and drink lots of chocolate milkshakes.
