Ronald Ivan Bradshaw, 75, of Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. Born in St. Augustine, he was a lifelong resident of Putnam County and a 1964 graduate of Palatka High School. Following high school, Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and afterward in the reserves for a total of 14 years.

He then worked in the eligibility department at the V.A. Medical Center in Gainesville for 10 years. Ron then transitioned to the Putnam Correctional Institute where he served for 17 years, retiring as a health information specialist. Ron was a member of the VFW, DAV, Elks Lodge #1232, the NRA, and in years past, the Azalea Motorcycle Club and Gid’s Bay Hunt Club. In his leisure time, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. He had also been involved with Tabernacle Baptist Church and Sharon Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Bradshaw, his parents, Joseph H. Bradshaw and Mae Hogarth Bradshaw, and his siblings, James Bradshaw, Joseph Bradshaw, Robert Bradshaw, Ethel Hall Richard, and Thelma Tringle.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Traci Reed (Ed) of Palatka, a son, Ronald H. “JR” “Bo” Bradshaw (Christy) of Ocala, a sister, Evelyn Ann McRae (Richard) of Ocala, and 6 grandchildren, Victoria Bradshaw, Elizabeth Bradshaw, Alexander Bradshaw, Gabriel Bradshaw, Samantha Bradshaw, and Kaylan McKoy.
