Ronald Herbert Hanlan, age 67, of Bridgeport, WV passed away May 20, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 2, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Herbert Harold Hanlan and Mildred Frances (McDaniel) Hanlan.
Hanlan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela E. (Linder) Hanlan of Bridgeport, WV; three sons, Matthew Hanlan of Bridgeport, WV, Benjamin Hanlan & his wife, Kristen of Bridgeport, WV and Brandon Hanlan of Bridgeport, WV; two daughters, Erin Hanlan of Bridgeport, WV and Kalin Hanlan of Bridgeport, WV; four grandchildren, Paul Savidge, Eliza Hanlan, Briley Hanlan and Hudson Hanlan.
Ronald graduated in 1972 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Psychology and in 1978 from Florida State University with his Law Degree. He worked for Fourco Glass Company as the Industrial Relations/Human Resources Assistant from 1972 – 1976, West Virginia State Tax Department as the Attorney from 1979 – 1981 and Steptoe & Johnson as the Business, Real Property, Commercial Transaction, Estate and Trust Attorney from 1981 – 2015.
Ronald was the President of the Clarksburg Planning and Zoning Commission, Harrison County Housing Authority Board of Directors, and the Clarksburg Art Center.
