Ronald Gordon Cook, age 74, of Melrose Park, Illinois went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 8, 2014.
Ron was born on November 3, 1939 to Jack and Ruie (Ice) at home in Benton, Illinois, where he was also raised through his graduation from Benton High School in 1957. After graduation he moved to Chicago, where he met Barbara Anne Rochotte on a blind date. They were married in 1959 and lived the majority of their fifty-five years together in Melrose Park, Illinois, where they raised their five children. He was a career truck driver and retired from Teamster Local 705 in 2006.
Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, William and George, and sister, Frances (LaPorte-Baumgarte). He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Rochotte), his sons, Duane (Lisa) and John, his daughters, Lori (Terry) Brandt, Sharon (Jeffrey) Peterson, and Sarah (Jason) Rice, and their eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
