Ron was born July 14, 1961 in Downey, California to Donald Dale Chaney, Sr. and Gloria Jane (Spurlock) Chaney and passed away on October 22, 2016 in the local hospital.
Ron was raised in the Los Angeles, California area and moved to Lone Grove, Oklahoma, in 1976, during his high school years. He was a 1979 Lone Grove graduate and attended Murray State College. Ron was an avid sports fan. Growing up in LA he had a love for the UCLA Bruins, the Rams (they’re back in LA??), the Dodgers and the Los Angeles Lakers. You knew where to find him if any sports were on TV. Ron had a Heart of Gold and helped anyone he came in contact with. Although, helping almost to a fault; we are proud of a coming extinct quality. We are happy that he is now resting comfortably and enjoying rooting for the underdog team with his parents.
He is survived by his sisters: Cheryl Beaver and husband Dwayne and Karen Danielsen; brother, Donald Chaney, Jr.; nieces, Jacklyn Chaney, Christen Hensley, Tiffany Beaver and Rachel Danielsen; nephew, Donald Chaney III; great nephews, Conner (CA) and Mason; special friend, Lori Buchholz and other extended family.
